This hormone plays an important role in the production of cortisol and other steroid hormones.</p><p>The test is primarily used to diagnose and monitor <strong>Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH)</strong>, a group of inherited disorders that affect the adrenal glands. It may also help investigate hormone-related conditions, irregular menstrual cycles, infertility, excessive hair growth, or adrenal gland disorders.</p>
